Why do you need an audit?

In the past, we have tried several solutions to reduce the problem of smurfing in matches. Among them: verifying players by SMS, introducing a pay wall, requiring a Steam account for a few hours, numerous changes to the player selection algorithm, and more.

While they helped reduce the problem, they were only partially effective and couldn't stop smurfing and abuse of multiple accounts in your matches. Due to the growing demand from players for a direct solution to trust issues, we have developed a radical solution - free ID verification at will, an unrivaled level of security to create a more trustworthy community.

Knowing what happens to your data is important. When you verify your account on FACEIT, your encrypted verification information is stored in Daon's European data centers.

In the FACEIT database we will only store information that you have been verified.

None of your identity verification data will be stored on FACEIT.

In the future, verification status will be required for access to certain contests and part of the FACEIT experience.

For example, players participating in official competitions, such as open qualifiers, may need to verify their account in order to participate in the competition.
